Indonesia's Environmental Pledge

Hello everyone!

This week Nathan Seef and Joanna Fensome chat about some developments around the world in the last week or so, including the potentially sensitive topic of depression and suicide.

We start with a look at the recent pledge by the Indonesian government to devote $1 billion annually to clean up its seas before reflecting on a decision about Israeli settlements in the West Bank that is rather different from the one we discussed several weeks ago. We talk about a rather surprising statement from the Taliban encouraging the planting of trees in Afghanistan, the recent closure of a dog meat market in South Korea, and finally Facebook’s emerging use of artificial intelligence to help identify users that may be at risk of committing suicide.

Thanks for listening and stay tuned for next week’s episode!
