Hello everyone!

Welcome to the first episode of the Policy Roundtable Podcast after its rebrand!

Today’s episode reflects on "A Conversation With Barack Obama" from his visit to Vancouver on March 5, 2019. Focusing primarily on the importance of good governance and the role of policy from the perspective of Former US President Barack Obama, Schyler Edmundson and Emily Enright cover topics ranging from leadership and civic trust, climate change and the significance of inclusive policy to protect particularly vulnerable communities, to the new economy and compounding inequality gaps. The majority of the recording references Obama's words directly while we played with various themes from our school year, including the post-truth area, the Notley Government's coal phase-out, and the structure of American democracy.
